Information for Editors and Reporters

The Gastón Institute aims to be a resource for media outlets. Our work with media aims to expand knowledge and understanding of the Latino community and of public policy issues that are vital this community. Media groups are encouraged to contact us at anytime. We can be helpful to your work in the following ways:

  • Developing a Story Concept: If you need background knowledge on a particular community or public policy issue, we can direct you to research and sources that may be helpful to your work.
  • Finding Experts:  Our research team is available for interviews on their areas of expertise.  If we don’t directly cover the area you are interested in, we can tap our broad network of partners and put you in contact with an expert on the topic.
  • Data:  Our Demography project provides a wealth of demographic data on Latino in Massachussetts.  If you are looking for specific information, we can point you to the correct sources.
  • Deadlines:  If you are on deadline, please let us know so that we prioritize your request.

El Instituto Gastón desea ser un recurso para los medios de prensa interesados en temas relacionados con la población Latina de Massachusetts.  Nuestra meta es ampliar el conocimiento sobre y traer atención a los asuntos vitales de esta comunidad.   Si usted es un miembro de la prensa,  podemos apoyar su trabajo en las formas siguientes:

  • Desarrollar un concepto: Si usted necesita información general sobre un tema o una comunidad en particular podemos dirigirle a los reportes y a las
    fuentes de información que pueden servirle de ayuda.
  • Expertos: Nuestro equipo de investigación está disponible para  entrevistas en sus campos de especialización.  Si no cubrimos directamente el área en el que usted está interesado, podemos ponerlo en contacto con un miembro de nuestra amplia red que sea un experto en el asunto.
  • Datos: Nuestro proyecto sobre demografía proporciona una abundancia de datos demográficos sobre los Latinos en Massachusetts.  Si usted está buscando una información específica, podemos señalarle la fuente correcta
  • Plazos: Si usted está en plazo, por favor déjenos saber con anticipación para ayudarlos con suficiente tiempo y atención
